About Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers is a city in Lee County in southwest Florida. It has a population of around 99,000 residents and is considered the 25th most populous city in Florida. The city is well-known as a top destination for beach combing, kayaking, and bird watching. It’s also home to a number of beaches and is called the “City of Palms” due to the number of palm trees in the city. It’s also the spring training location for the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. You can also find the Lovers Key State Park, Edison and Ford Winter Estates, and Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers.

Cataract Surgery

Struggling with cataracts? At Ginsberg Eye, we use state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to break up and remove the cloudy lens and cataract. The lens is then replaced with a premium intraocular lens (IOL) that not only gives you a new, clear lens but can also correct any vision problems. With the expertise and years of experience of Dr. Ginsberg, you can feel comfortable putting your vision in our hands. To learn more, don’t hesitate to head to our cataract page

LASIK

Tired of wearing glasses or contact lenses? LASIK surgery can completely transform your life and allow you to see clearly without the need for glasses or contacts. But how does it work? The refractive laser correction surgery changes the shape of the cornea to correct your vision. At Ginsberg Eye, we use the ALLEGRETTO WAVE® EYE-Q Excimer Laser and IntraLase Femtosecond Laser when performing LASIK for our patients. For more information, take a look at our LASIK page.

Cornea Surgery

Cornea surgery can address a wide variety of corneal conditions, including Fuch’s dystrophy, dry eyes, corneal infections, keratoconus, and more. Using everything from corneal transplants to DSEK (Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty) to conjunctivoplasty for dry eyes, Dr. Ginsberg and his team can address your corneal concerns and ensure your eyes can more easily focus. And as Dr. Ginsberg is a fellowship-trained corneal specialist, you can feel comfortable that your eye health and vision are his top priority. Check out our corneal surgery page.

Dry Eye

Dry eyes can be more than just irritating. They can lead to eye fatigue, make it much more difficult to wear your contacts, and increase your sensitivity to light. Luckily, at our Dry Eye Center at Ginsberg Eye, we can help you address your dry eyes and give you the relief you deserve. At our office near Fort Myers, we use Lumecca IPL for dry eyes, artificial tears, eye gels, topical steroids, and more. Click over to our dry eye page to learn more.

Glaucoma Surgery

Glaucoma is one of the top causes of vision loss, and because it’s a progressive disease, it can get worse over time and cause damage to the optic nerve, especially without treatment. It’s most often caused by poor drainage of fluid in the eye that leads to high intraocular pressure. Fortunately, glaucoma can be easily treated with medications, laser treatment (trabeculoplasty), and surgery. The right treatment for you depends on the type of glaucoma you’re struggling with. For more info, head over to our glaucoma page.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

Refractive lens exchange (RLE) is a vision correction surgery that reduces or completely eliminates the need for glasses or contacts. It’s perfect for those who have moderate to severe nearsightedness or farsightedness and is a great alternative to LASIK for patients who aren’t good candidates for that laser treatment. It’s meant for those over the age of 45 and can provide significant improvements in your vision. During the procedure, Dr. Ginsberg uses an ultrasound and a femtosecond laser to remove your lens and replace it with an IOL. To learn more, head on over to our RLE page.
