Andrew Norris, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He is known for his patient-centered approach, offering thorough evaluations and personalized treatment for a wide range of eye conditions, including general and medical ophthalmology, glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetes-related eye issues, and geriatric ophthalmology.
He joins Ginsberg Eye with over forty years of experience providing comprehensive eye care and surgery to patients in Colorado and Southwest Florida. He was previously with a local practice for three and half years.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Norris earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The Ohio State University before completing his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He continued his training with an internship (in Internal Medicine) at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
He was the owner of a private, comprehensive and surgical ophthalmology practice in Fort Collins, Colorado for thirty-five years until moving to Fort Myers, FL with his wife Julie of twenty-five plus years.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Norris enjoys spending time with his family, especially his twin grandkids who love to learn golf from their “Bampa”. He also enjoys traveling and pursuing hobbies such as precision target shooting, art, photography and classic cars.
Dr. Norris has been a proud member of the Larimer County (Colorado) Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit and Community Outreach. He has also been a member of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and a Volunteer Emergency Response Team Member Traffic Control.
